I’m Susie, I’m a Pet Photographer.
I don’t have human kids. I knew when I was 13 that I didn’t want kids.
I grew up with a sister – my Golden Retriever, Buffy – who taught me the language of animals. Which means that currently, I’m a dog person who has cats. Now, 2 felines greet me at the door when I come home. That’s why when I see a dog out in the world I get all “Squeeeee! Can I say Hi to your dog?!?!?!”
It’s just one of my quirks, besides my hair, clothes, hobbies, and general life choices.

Sometimes I wonder how I spent so many years photographing humans – from engagements (couples with pets), and weddings (with ring-bearing dogs), and families (oh, you have kids, that’s great, I can’t wait to meet your pets). I wonder how it took me so long to realize that this is where I belonged. I guess that doesn’t matter now, what matters is here I am, ready to celebrate your family!
